Craig Hudson, originally from Manchester, has spent much of his life and career thus far, studying and learning, emersing himself in several artistic environments. Adopting a twentieth century European Figurative painterly style, Hudson moved to Paris in 1997 and became an outsider to the Parisien art scene, selling portraits in the Place Du Tertre and the surrounding streets, whilst continuing with his studies.

"What I see and how I see it are the foundations of what I paint... it's about seizing the moment."

Living a starving-artist's bohemian life in Paris until 2001, Hudson returned to England, this time to London, with a near fauvist use of non-natural colours and a strong sense of post-impressionistic values.

"What I see and how I see it are the foundations of what I paint. It's about seizing the moment. My art is the synthesis of what I see with my eyes, my imagination, my feelings and my technique. "

Hudson's work is shown regularly at the Bayswater Road Artists open air 'street gallery' in London, W2 which takes place every Sunday.
